You can only pass a macro in SQL models properties for now in this way for start, but support for this is on the roadmap and worked on currently to enable it for python models as well

@treysp do I understand your issue comment correctly that is is indeed possible to pass time variables, such as execution_dt, to a signal in a Python model?

The forum bot thinks it's not possible:

Currently, there is no supported way to directly access macro variables such as execution_dt from an audit or signal in a Python model. Passing "@​execution_dt" as a string does not resolve to the macro value. This limitation is known, and improvements are planned for future releases, but as of now, it is not possible according to the available documentation and community discussions.
