+In August 2025 the RIT website was [updated](https://web.archive.org/web/20250817063255/https://www.rit.edu/study/free-and-open-source-software-and-free-culture-minor) to mark the FOSS minor as no longer accepting new student applications. This came shortly after the retirement of Stephen Jacobs.
