This is too vague to be an issue. I can move it to discussions. |

For tex -> pdf you should just use pdflatex / xelatex / lualatex. I am confused by your message, because you talk of tex -> docx and tex -> pdf. Which is it that you are concerned with? |

Sorry for being so confusing. At the end of the day, I just wanted a good tex -> docx really!
I tried all these tex -> pdf -> docx and other things becuase pandoc tex -> docx didn't work well :(. And yes to go to tex -> pdf, I use lualatex, and as expected, works well. |

So I am working in latex for a project right now (been using it for years now) and wanted to convert the file to docx.
I tried a online microsoft word to convert pdf -> docx, but didn't render properly.
I, obviously, tried
tex -> pdftex -> docx thru pandoc, but also didn't render properly. But what worked was the online source: https://www.ilovepdf.com/ to convert pdf -> docx
Anyways, especially since docx is just openXML, is there any movement towards making the tex->docx conversion more accurate? (I can also help on this route too!)
