Selecting using namespaced attribute

Hi, I can only find how to select an element using namespaced element, not namespaced attribute; is there a way?

Example:
<ac:structured-macro ac:name="note" ac:schema-version="1" ac:macro-id="9d8c24cd-1dc3-465a-aaf4-688bc1e546a0">

CSS Select:
*|structured-macro[*|name="info"]

^ I can do *| for the element but not for the attribute - I am unsure how to select the "name" attribute within the ac namespace.

Hi there,

Are you in a position that you know the namespace prefix? I.e. can you just use [ac:name] ?

If not, there's not currently direct support for say *:name. We do have a suffix wildcard match; if you want to submit a PR for a prefix match I'd be happy to review.

Alternatively you could use the Element#selectXpath() impl and use just the local names, like //structured-macro['name']. See example.

(That works because for convenience in in the XPath selector we simplify to using the local names of tags and attributes.)

Thanks jhy. Actually I was already using selectXPath but I'm having issues with the remove (in that it does not seem to be working so wanted to check if the CSS select and remove() was working for me

There shouldn't be any difference for Element#remove() between if it was selected via CSS or XPath. Both are returning the original nodes from the DOM. So if selected nodes aren't getting removed, please file a bug with a testcase.
