  2. Improve libgd detection via Devel::CheckLib 

    and don't lie about failing command-line args.
See RT #107210

But when we find no gdlib.pc under prefix, but somewhere else than the given
--lib_gd_path, we still lie about it. A major ExtUtils::PkgConfig limitation
which does nt return the path of the found gdlib.pc, just the hash content.
