Diamond template: Letter q reversed in italic fonts (InterDisplay)

We were wondering why the word 'equals' looks bad in italic font, since the 'q' is reversed (leaning to the left instead of to the right like all other characters):

We found the source of the reversed 'q' to be the InterDisplay italic fonts that are part of the diamond template.

All of the italic variants have the q reversed like this:

This can't be intentional, right?
