dockserv

What is this?

This is a quick & dirty docker-webhosting solution with extra security. i am sometimes in need of setting up some application on a small vps, vm or baremetal server - and needed a extra layer of security.

All applications installed by dockserv will use the shared MariaDB for database storage. Backups include the database structures and data.

Applications used:

• Traefik
• Crowdsec
• Traefik-crowdsec-bouncer
• Mariadb

Allows quick setup for:

• Wordpress
• Prestashop
• Swoole
• Nginx

Quick install

curl -s https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jerryhopper/dockserv/master/setup.sh | sudo bash -s 

NOTE: to finalize the install, use 'dockserv install'

Slow install

Make sure you have docker installed. Create a user 'dockserve' Add user 'dockserve' to the docker group Grab the code from this repository Make softlink to bin/dockserv and make sure its executable Add to bin directory to PATH/

Usage

Usage: dockserv 

 dockserv [-c ] [-b] [-d ] [-R]
  -c  : the CREATE flag. example:  -c 
  -b : the BACKUP flag. 
  -d  : the DIRECTORY flag. if -d is not specified, the current directory will be assumed.
  -R : the REMOVAL flag. 
  -F : Force 'yes' on all input. (allows removal without interaction)
  -i  : Import backupfile 
  -h  : specifies hostname to use: mydomain.com or mydomain.com,www.myotherdomain.com

 Installation:
   dockserv install [email protected]  <-F>
   dockserv uninstall <-F>

   dockserv downloadbackup  - Allows downloading backupfiles from backup archive

Examples for creating wordpress,prestashop,nginx or swoole

dockserv -d /some/location/some/nginx -c nginx  -h nginx.local
dockserv -d /some/location -c swoole74  -h localhost
dockserv -d /some/location/some/wordpress -c wordpress  -h wordpress.local
dockserv -d /some/location/some/prestashop -c prestashop  -h prestashop.local
