My name is Jose Carlos Pérez Gómez. I have 3 years working as a system administrator.

I'm the eternal student and I'm always looking for new challenges. My current goal is prove my skills as a developer and my capacity to learn new technologies and knowledge.

Actually my main hobby is coding and solve the essential problems for my personal projects and the current courses.

But I can use many other technologies and I can learn more for new projects.

We are the main support for our co-workers regarded organizational software, as well as the maintenance and the administration of the network and its architecture.
Other responsibilities include maintaining various IT devices, such as printers, routers, switches, computers, etc.

I developed various programs for the automation of task and improve regular daily processes as:

• Capture the specs from computers
• The quickly configure networks for computers
• An assistant for the correction of some printer bugs
• Automated spreadsheets for some offices
• And other quick scripts for various tasks

My extra responsibilites are:

• Train the new colleagues, when needed
• Report bugs and other issues about the leased printers and organizational software to the software and hardware suppliers

At this academic institution, I learned a lot about databases, OOP, network design, and project planning. I am currently applying this knowledge in my personal projects, daily activities, and professional work. I have applied my skills in databases and OOP to develop applications that store various records, such as:

• Computer specifications
• Printer models in an inventory
• Activity logs for my services and daily tasks

This knowledge is applied across all my programs. At the same time, I am using my skills to improve the network structure, including our rack, switches, and routing configuration.

This was my first bootcamp to prove my coding skills and meet other developers from across LATAM and be part of the community.
