I saw the issue about this and the other issue in the other repo. I'm really not sure that this is the overall correct fix for all targets.

This is basically because someone is trying to cross-compile from Linux (via Lima on Apple Silicon) to macOS for Apple Silicon, right?

I think he was trying Lima because he couldn’t natively compile on M4... but I can compile on M2 and M3 (I do not have M4) so it is a little ocnfusing for me. Also I do not know if this patch actually works. The related issue is

I think as long as it's uncertain, this should not be merged. I also trust @waywardmonkeys his expertise on this.

I wish my bounty system was done so I could add a bounty for someone who has an M4 laptop 😭

I am going to close this... tbh I doubt this fixes it. Also I am confused how this breaks on M4 but not on and M2 or M3.
