This may be related to #36841 or #37042.

Step-by-step reproduction instructions

  1. Add a Cover block.
  2. Select a color.
  3. Open the block settings.
  4. Tap Color.
  5. Select a different color.
  6. ⚠️ The color is not applied.
  7. Tap Gradient.
  8. Select a gradient.
  9. ⚠️ The gradient is not applied.
  10. Tap Back.

Expected behaviour

The selected color or gradient is applied as an overlay for the Cover block and the block settings are visible.

Actual behaviour

The selected color or gradient is not applied as an overlay for the Cover block and the block settings are invisible.
