Bring Back Text Widget Block or Classic Widget Block #46473
Description
The Text Widget Block (legacy) is very useful. Works perfectly fine in my theme on Wordpress.com. In self-hosting this Widget is no longer available. I tried several blocks but it doesn't look as good as the Text Widget.
Alternatively I could Install the Plugin "Classic Widgets" which brings back the old Widgets area and the Text Widget. But I also have Blocks that don't work well with the classic widget area.
The Text Widget allows me to use these features in the new widget area. It works perfectly fine in my theme, the alternatives don't work well for me. Please bring back the Text Widget.
I don't know how it's decided which features are removed, but sometimes it seems that those who remove certain features only think about the sites themselves, forgetting the users who use them.
