iOS issues with Auth and zmNinja 1.3.017, with ZM 1.30.4 (exploratory)

So far two users have brought up an issue that when updating zmNinja, the app froze.

I have not been able to replicate this. Tagging @kraka40 and @Azibi who are the 2 users who are facing the issue.

I'll need specific details, because I can't replicate.

Here is what I tried

• Installed ZM from scratch, version 1.30.4
• zmNinja worked
• Enabled OPT_USE_AUTH
• zmNinja worked
• Enabled basic auth
• zmNinja worked
• Enabled self signed cert
• zmNinja worked

So questions for users who are facing issues:

• Does the desktop version exhibit the same issues? If you haven't tried, please install the desktop version, hit "Ctrl+Alt+D (or Cmd+Alt+D)" to bring up the debug logs and please email"
• If the desktop version works, and you use android too, does that show any issues?
• Did you try reinstalling zmNinja?
• When you log into ZM using the web console, is your console messed up in formatting or does it look normal?
• do you have basic auth enabled?
• do you have zm auth enabled?
• Can any of you give me ZoneMinder portal access for a day or two so I can test?

I’ve had the issue without even configuring to my portal. brand new install ( using desktop on mac ) - set server name to “house” - remove all authentication - save - instantly goes into “cleaning up” and freezes.  Unable to do anything even after restart.  Need to completely remove local files for it to work again. Interestingly enough after restart it says API Authentication success ( even without configuring a zone minder portal ).

I've added some code to change the login behavior. If anyone is still facing issues (and are sure their APIs are ok) please drop me an email.

Did you update the app or just desktop version ? Having same “cleaning up” issue with iOS download this morning.

closing - the original issue was related to an incorrect auth scheme and was resolved
