Description
Session on "F# is a great language. Why is it so underused?!"
Tom Sloboda, from CIT/Fund Ourselves in GMT would like to tackle:
F# is the best language I have come across in my 20 years of programming. However, adoption is low, and in my opinion is the main issue.
I can think of 2 approaches to solve that:
- Create more jobs - which implies convincing upper management that despite the smaller talent pool their KPIs will be better (not sure how to do that after diving into papers and not finding a definitive answer)
- Creating frameworks that are relevant (AI) and that become ubiquitous (e.g. LangChain)
Tldr: How do we target the people making the decision of which language to use?! I'm curious to hear your thoughts on it and am happy to help in any way I can :)
