Entering a date without separators (e.g., 090914) causes DatePicker popup to go haywire

I know, who would do this? Turns out, many people are accustomed to fields that automatically insert the separators.

You can see the errant behavior on the main demo page. Just type 090914 into the popup input field, and see DatePicker happily show January 90914.

At a minimum, I think DatePicker should detect that there's a problem and refuse the date.
