Problem

When trying to get every 1% boost possible, a good place to start is bumping the compiler and dependencies, hoping to capture any upstream improvements.

Summary of Changes

  • bump rust version
  • run cargo update

Fixes #

  • Probably this doesn't fix anything, this is just what I do when I begin to work on something.

Hey @faddat , appreciate the thought here. We need to be quite careful about both rust bumps and dependency bumps, so we take a slower approach. Dependency bumps should mostly be handled by our dependabot integration. That said, it doesn't seem to catch everything comprehensively, so if you ever want to contribute bumps for single dependencies, that would be appreciated.
