Refactor guard and void-enemy defeat logic to inflict 100% damage #1749

Various entities in the game defeat the player-character if they make contact with them. Currently this is implemented by calling .defeat() directly on the player. When we have a health system it may be worth changing this to have the enemy instead inflict maximum damage on the player.
