The v3 Golang CLI version of goenv is in alpha stages and we need testers to validate.
The design is more robust and is multi-platform/arch compatible - we are no longer constrained to operating only in a 'Nix shell.
This new functionality adds:
- Windows support
- No longer reliant on PRs to add new versions - we live check the JSON
- Tooling installations across versions
- System Go support
- Doctor - helps debug issues with your environment
- SBOM generation
In order to test this you will need to compile the binary either in Windows or Mac using the make command or the ps1 script that's included.
