SOP(standard operating procedure) is a set of written instructions which describes the step-by-step process that must be taken to properly perform a scientific routine activity
- Procedures to operate an experiment.
- Procedures to build scientific equipment.
- Tutorials on using various tools.
- Professional physics knowledge.
The CaYPT Committee hopes to encourage more young scientists to expand their understanding of experimental techniques by studying SOP. We offer a free online archive of experimental techniques to aid the education of young scientists worldwide.
When you are looking for information of routine activity
- Look for the topics by searching specific code of a SOP refering to the list of SOPs: List of SOP Topics.pdf
- If you can't find the topic you want, search by subjects using the categorized documents.
To write a comprehensive SOP, you need to include the following info:
- Principle of Operation: How does the routine activity in your SOP function? Explain with detailed scientific principles.
- Materials Required: What materials do you need? How can you access the listed materials?
- Conclusion & General Procedures: Summarize your reports and procedures.
