Hi, I'm Kahini 👋

I'm a Neurobiology & Behavior PhD student at Columbia (Nuttida Lab), working on decision-making under uncertainty using behavioral tasks, computational modeling, and human single-neuron/iEEG recordings. I'm increasingly focused on building interpretable models of cognition and working at the intersection of neuroscience and AI.

What I work on currently

  • Decision-making under uncertainty (social inference, recognition memory, threat learning)
  • Behavioral task design (PsychoPy, VR/Unreal Engine, AR on Meta Quest)
  • Computational modeling (drift diffusion models, Bayesian learning models, signal detection theory)
  • Human single-neuron and iEEG analysis
  • Neuro-AI alignment
  • Miscellaneous tools for researchers

Code on here includes

  • Task implementations used in human experiments
  • Behavioral analysis and modeling code
  • Data validation and preprocessing scripts
  • Contributions to larger research toolchains (including prior work on neuroimaging pipelines such as xcp_d)
