Bug description

When an AppImage is viewed in Nemo the preview/thumbnail hangs for a very, very long time.

Steps to reproduce

Download an AppImage that causes this behavior:

• Downloads from https://lmms.io/download page do NOT have this issue
• Downloads from https://lmms.io/download/pull-request/7252 DO have this issue

Expected behavior

Show the expected AppImage icon.

I've documented my struggles up to this point here: https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?p=2585996

The downstream PR that introduced this issue uses a different appimage packaging tool, so that's what's changed.

• Previews show a "clock" icon and eventually show, but the duration is very long before this happens (hours or days, not minutes)
• A workaround is to call touch my-app.AppImage as can be seen in the video below.
