Switching to the list view mode freezes the UI/grid

Steps to reproduce

1. Switch to the list view.
2. Try to switch to any other view.
3. Observe that the view is locked to the list view and you can not switch any longer.

Expected behavior

It should be possible to switch between views freely.

Actual behavior

Once I switch to the list view, I can not switch to any other view.
