Simple editor popover not closing when pressing ESC (and input field focused)

Steps to reproduce

1. Open the simple editor by clicking in the grid.
2. Focus the title input box.
3. Press the ESC key.

Expected behavior

The simple editor popover should close.

Actual behavior

The simple editor popover doesn't close.

Ah. I found the reason you could reproduce this and I could not.
