Maybe we should reference https://www.reddit.com/r/Crostini/wiki/getstarted/crostini-enabled-devices since it has a list of chromebook models that have the VM feature enabled. No guarantee sshuttle will work on all of them, but if the host OS lets the packets through, there's no reason I can think of that the guest OS, which has its own kernel, shouldn't work.
