Access buyer first_name

Hi, is there any way to access the buyer's "first_name"? The only information about the buyer that I receive from an IPN is the "seller_email" hash. I'm not sure if it's possible to access any of the buyer details listed here: https://developer.paypal.com/webapps/developer/docs/classic/ipn/integration-guide/IPNIntro/

So I tried getting the buyer's name through the get_shipping_addresses method instead. The request itself works fine, but when I print the response hash, I only see the "responseEnvelope". I don't see anything relating to the "selectedAddress" field. This is driving me insane, I have no idea what I'm doing wrong and have tried everything.
