psmove calibrate-camera not working on MJPEG cameras

when running psmove calibrate-camera psmove.xml, i get the following error:

So i tried with gstreamer on its own, and thought it was a gstreamer error:

$ gst-launch-1.0 v4l2src ! xvimagesink

Setting pipeline to PLAYING ...

But i just needed to decode the MJPEG stream to make it all work:

The file cap_gstreamer.cpp lives in OpenCV. How do you build OpenCV and/or which OpenCV version are you using?

Looking at this: https://github.com/opencv/opencv/blame/4.x/modules/videoio/src/cap_gstreamer.cpp it seems like it might be fixed with a newer OpenCV version (but that's the version we should be using in the Linux build script...).
