Text block unexpectedly deleted when pressing backspace

Description

Text blocks are unexpectedly deleted when pressing the Delete or Backspace key if the cursor is placed after a period and space at the end of a sentence (i.e., . ). This originates from a fixed bug in Gutenberg: WordPress/gutenberg#68164 (comment)

The bug seems to only occur on physical iOS devices, not simulators or Android devices.
